Inflatable Canoe Maintenance

O.k., now that you have spent anywhere from 200.00 to 1000.00 on your inflatable canoe you may be asking yourself just how am I suppose to take care of it. Well, the material that the new inflatable canoe is made out of is surprisingly low maintenance. However, like anything used on the water, care must be taken before your canoe is put away for the winter.

The biggest maintenance headache for the inflatable canoe owner is the obvious....punctures. When a puncture is suspected, you should use a soapy water mixture to locate the exact spot of the leak. Once the leak is found a good latex patch will suffice on the newest inflatable canoe.

Finally, after your inflatable canoe comes into contact with any saltwater it is imperative that the canoe is rinsed thoroughly before it is folded up and put away. So if a little maintenance is performed each and every time you use your inflatable canoe it will be available for many years to come.
